Death Shadow

Shadow creeps,
Death looms;
A face approaches,
But it's masked;
A knife volunteers,
To venture and castrate the veins;
Victim quivers,
Pushed to the corner of the room;
Doors open and close,
But the doors were bolted;
Cold freeze settles in,
Insides are shredded;
Contradicting to heat outside,
Victim craves for death;
Illusions crawl,
It's just a shadow.

  3. I've seen better work from you. This one is just too commonplace an image. The metaphors can be more chilling, the use of pronouns more apt and the over all story-line more powerful and anfractuous. Try to provide more fluency in the interelationship of words.
